It's been a long time since I have had the good fortune to come across such a well-written novel in this genre. Nate and Ethan are well-drawn characters who act out their D/s sexual proclivities in raw physical and emotional ways. The author pulls no punches in showing us the lustful and passionate hearts of these men. The consensual violence and brutality between them makes for steamy, testosterone-infused sexual encounters. This was a read that I didn't want to end, and when the end came, it wrapped up to quickly for me. Apparently for others too. The author responded with 2 short sequels which were also beautifully crafted. Thank you, Stephen. Because I was so pleased with this piece I ordered quite a few other stories by this author. This read will not be for everyone as the author states, but if you like reality D/s drama with a raw edge – you too will likely be pleased.Product details

i enjoyed the book
First experience with this author's work. This had a dark aura but was consuming. There were definitely HOT scenes, however, if you are one that likes all romance before that HEA, this is not for you. These two characters definitely had their baggage which is dumped out before being neatly packed back up. I enjoyed the read but did have times of thinking, "this is messed up". I would recommend for those that can appreciate that everything does not come neatly wrapped with a bow.
I took a chance and bought this book....wow! I was not disappointed. M/M not my usual genre, but being the book nerd that I am I gave it a go. Great story and I loved the epilogue -)
Thoroughly loved the story. I really like this one because it was touching and gave insight to the idea of 'love' between two people of the same sex and not just sex for muse.
I have to say the book started out a little strange but something kept me reading and I'm glad I did. The story of two very damaged men trying to find there way in this crazy world caught me. If you like a book that makes you think some and you like to read all the things people think about themselves and others you will enjoy it.
I loved everything about this book. First, I enjoyed the change up to the "analyze every thought in every character's head" formula that seems to be dominating right now. Half the suspense of this is not knowing what the heck is going on in "Restricted Caller's" head (you'll understand that reference almost right away, lol.
The last line of this book absolutely slayed me. The characters were raw, real, flawed. To tap into emotions the way this author did was amazing to me. I admit there were times I wondered what I was reading, because it felt different than other books I have read. But then I realized it was because these characters were so beautifully flawed. I couldn't help but be drawn into their complicated relationship, the way they challenged each other. There were imperfections in the editing of this story, and usually that really bothers me. But the story itself was about imperfections and I found myself not really caring all that much. I would definitely read another book by this author.
