I just love this author's books. I have read this series through my Kindle Unlimited. At that time they were individual books and I got them for free. So when I saw that she has them all in a series as one complete set I just had to get it. The price was great for this series. She delves into the shifter world and the sex scences are very explicit. I read the first book in this series and enjoyed it immensely. When I found out it was a whole series I got them all. The writing was interesting. Each book is a quick read and a definite HEA. I love to read shifter books as an escape and a balm for my romantic self.
Very wonderful series. A little sex a lot of sweet. Enjoyed every book in this series. First time reader of Lola.
This is a life of collection of stories that could all be read as standalones and each has a happily ever after ending. I had previously bought The first book in this collection. I enjoyed it so much that I had to go looking for the whole collection to read. Each story is is different and the characters come together and fascinating ways. I would recommend this book to anyone.
First story was nice and sweet. Second had plenty of potential but the female character came off as Incompetent, pushy and very niiave. I couldn't bear to continue reading. Spolier chick randomly shows up at this guys house after talking once or twice... And chick lived across the country. That's not a believable premace for romance, and if a man did that, it would probably be a plot for CSI. I'm sure the author has a happy ending for the story and was trying to reinstate that the character was young but that wasn't for me.
Loving the Lion BBW Shifter Mail Order Bride Paranormal Romance (Mail-Order Mates Book 1)
This story was great! I was hooked on it immediately. Owen and Erin are so cute trying to find love fore the right reasons but life keeps throwing them curve balls. The fact that there is a parallel situation going on in their world is good. I was happy that the whole story is not centered on their togetherness and that will bring other characters into the story. I can't wait for the next one
Wolf Seeks Wife (BBW/Shifter Mail-order Bride Romance) (Mail-Order Mates Book 2)
I was expecting a little more from this story since the first one was so good. Molly was a little to strong-willed for Kellan and they didn't seem to fit as well. Their story wasn't enough courting for me. They met then married without really knowing each other. I know for wolves it happens almost instantly but this just didn't feel right. The side story/problem I did like. Something that pulls you from the love aspect but give you a challenge to solve is better for the story and give you more about the characters as individuals and the place they have in their town. I’ll be waiting for the next one.
The Bear's Bride (BBW/Shifter Mail-Order Bride Romance) (Mail-Order Mates Book 3)
This story was so good and probably the best so far. Frank is so cute with his big bear self. He has all the qualities any woman would want and then some. His skepticism of the agency was tested when he received a match so quick that could be his mate. Amy was such a realistic character of today's society that you couldn't do anything but relate to her. Once she meets Frank and hits it off so well she is so close to coming out of her vulnerable spot until there is a mix up in communication. Their struggle was so heartfelt and happily came to a beautiful ending. I hope the rest of the series is just as good as this one. More please
Taming the Tiger (BBW/Shifter Mail Order Bride Romance) (Mail-Order Mates Book 4)
Gwens' s story was another great hit for Lola. This story was different from the first three but just as good. To find your mate but not actually know that that person has been in front of you for eight years is crazy in shifter world. Fate had something special planned for Dom ans Gwen without them both being on board. I laughed and stated the obvious to Dom from my side of the book but it took time for him to listen. By the end everyone got what they needed from whom they needed it from. I can't wait for the next book.

Very glad to see the twins finally get their story. The twins do everything together, why should getting a mate be any different. This was another cute story that ended to fast but had great quality to it. With this many happy couples the town might need to expand once it gets onto that magazine cover. These stories are a great way to escape from reality.
Surrendering to the Stag (BBW Shifter Mail Order Bride Romance) (Mail-Order Mates Book 6)
This series just keeps getting better. Clint becomes shifter number 7 in this small town to ask for help in the love department and LK tries had to find her. The roller coaster that he goes on with the woman that he has been attracted to for a while dizzying. It was cute to watch Clint and Rachael be modest about their relationship in public. This story proves that miracles can happen when the right people are involved.

This time Ben gets his story told about finding love. Ben and Zelda are so cute together but had to go through a little struggle just to get to each other, which to me would be worth it. I loved how not only do we cross animal species in this series we cross color lines that society still has issues with today. My only issue was that the story was too short. Hopefully we can get and couples update in a future book.

It's so sad to see the end of a very good series of books. Kai is such a great father that he has put his needs behind those of his son like a parent should even if it means shutting down a part of him. The only thing is that he has kept a part of himself away from his son and has given him the wrong impression about his family and culture. When Sarah comes along from a different country the odds of her finding love would seem very slim but LK’s magic has brought her and Kai together. Sarah’s ability to see Kai’s son as part of the package and willing to help when she doesn’t even know them says a lot about her character. This was a really good story. I hope that maybe in the future we can have a “look at them now” story.

I love, love, love this collection! Mail Order Mates is by far, my very favorite series from Lola Kidd. And you just hit the jackpot because you can purchase all eight fabulous stories in one convenient collection. I read and reviewed these stories when they were individually released and loved every single one, so much so, that I would liked to share my reviews for each of the books. The stories are all imaginative, well crafted and beautifully written with a magnificent cast of engaging and endearing characters. Every time I read one of Kidd's books, I always finish feeling completely satisfied and entertained.
**Loving the Lion I absolutely love it! Loving the Lion is the first book in the amazing new Mail Order Mates series by Lola Kidd and it is awesome! Beautiful curvy Erin Numm is only 28 but she's done with dating and relationships. Heck, it's been 18 months since her last date. Yep, she's done with men! Or so she thought! While shopping with her sister, Erin is approached by a mysterious stranger who introduces herself as Olivia Grey with Lovely and Kind Brides, a mail order mates agency for shifters. Huh? And most surprising, she has the perfect match for Erin! What? Sexy lion shifter and rancher, Owen Brooks is a man on a mission. Well, two missions to be precise. It's only been a little less than a week, but his hopes are high that he won't have to wait too long. He is so ready to start a new life with a mate! Amy Alma is fed up with men and relationships. If nothing else, her three divorces have taught her that men are NEVER what they seem and they can NEVER be trusted. Yep, she's done! Unfortunately her sister doesn't get that memo and signs her up with Lovely and Kind Brides - without her knowledge! Oh my! Here we go again!

What she didn't expect was to meet a meddlesome, critical, judgmental, prejudiced, future mother-in-law within an hour of arriving at Ben's home...uh...correction, make that mansion. What else has he neglected to tell her? Nope, never going to happen. She doesn't have to put up with this crap! What's a girl to do? She'll just leave right now, that's what! But Ben doesn't want her to leave! She's his true mate! How can he convince her to stay and give them a chance? What's a guy to do? I'll guess you'll have to read the book to find out!
**The Leopard in Love This story is the eighth and final book of the series and features our favorite pilot from Sunset Falls, leopard-shifter Kai Waters and lovely, curvaceous Sarah Roberts, a veterinarian from Australia. It also features all of our favorite, quirky characters from the series' previous books and let's not forget the always beautiful and extraordinarily insightful Olivia Grey, miracle worker and matchmaker from Lovely and Kind Brides. We couldn't have a story without her! And Olivia is on her way back to Sunset Falls courtesy of Kai's private air service along with one other passenger, Sarah Roberts from Australia, flying in to visit her Aunt Reba and Uncle Pete who own the only Asian food establishment in town. Olivia is in town to film the agency's newest advertisement and help celebrate the town's Christmas celebration. But never fear, folks, Olivia always has time to work her magic and perform some matchmaking hijinks.Olivia has a bee in her bonnet and seems determined to secure a match for Kai and he hasn't even signed up - yet. Olivia would never let a little thing like that stand in her way. She just baits the trap and sits back to wait for fate to take its course. And she hasn't been wrong yet! But Kai is quite hesitant. Sure, all his friends have used L&K Brides but none of them had a tween-age son. He didn't want to waste his son's remaining years at home trying to date and find a mate. He could always think about finding a mate when his son, KJ, leaves for college. Yes, after a surprising and rather upsetting development with his son, he's decided to sign up and was quite surprised when Olivia immediately has a match for him but for some reason he isn't really shocked when it turns out to be the Australian bombshell. She's one beautiful creature and it seems, he and his leopard are both in lust with the lovely blonde veterinarian. He's already made one mistake with KJ's mother. She was never his true mate and had made a quick exit immediately after KJ was born when she learned that Kai was a leopard shifter. Nope, He couldn't afford another mistake. He feels so attracted to Sarah but is she his mate??? Sarah Roberts has come to Sunset Falls on vacation to visit her only aunt and her husband. When Olivia Grey comes to the restaurant and approaches her about signing up for L&K Brides, she's not really sure why she agrees to take the plunge. Maybe it's the personal service Olivia offers or maybe she's ready for a little excitement and adventure or maybe, just maybe, she's totally attracted to the handsome pilot, Kai Waters. But could she have it all, a handsome shifter husband, a career and a family in America??? Hmm...I guess you'll have to read the book to find out.
